In the face of climate change and corruption, Maldivian activists are rising up to inspire their country and the world.
In 2019, Heather teamed up with Maldivian leaders and filmmakers to create this honest and motivating series to showcase the resilience and innovation we discover from local voices.
Originally scheduled to film in April 2020, the crew celebrated and incredible inaugural mission filming the pilot episode in December 2023.
This project is an unprecedented co-creation across cultures. Heather was invited by local activists to help tell this story to Maldivians and the world.
